Taskinator keeps your data only on your phone, so deleting it is done on your phone. Capys holds no copy and needs no request from you. (This page is the "data deletion" link the app stores ask for.)
| You want to | Do this |
|---|---|
| Delete one task | Day or Month, tap the task, then Delete (or say "Tasky, delete the dentist on Friday"). |
| Delete every task and setting | Settings, Danger zone, Delete all data (what it removes and keeps is listed below). |
| Erase what Autopilot learned | Analytics, Autopilot, Reset memory (this also erases its encryption key). |
| Remove demo data | Settings, Wipe demo data. |
| Remove everything, including the app | Uninstall Taskinator (Android: Settings, Apps, Taskinator, Uninstall; or Storage, Clear data). |
| Delete backups you exported | Delete the backup file wherever you saved it (Files app, cloud drive, email). Taskinator cannot reach it. |
What "Delete all data" removes
- Every task, with its notes, subtasks, repeat rule and reminder.
- Every reminder the app has scheduled with your phone, and any Taskinator notification still showing.
- Every setting: theme, language, default reminder, voice and hands-free switches (hands-free is switched off), the animated background, the Autopilot switch, and the answers you gave to the microphone notices (you will be asked again). The welcome card shows again.
- What Autopilot learned (the encrypted file and its key) and the record of smart nudges already sent.
- Every copy of a backup that Taskinator itself made while exporting. (The app removes these copies by itself as soon as you are back from the share sheet, and again each time it starts.)
- The diagnostic log the voice feature keeps (timings and error codes only, never your words).
What it keeps, and why
- Your Pro purchase. Taskinator stores only a yes/no "Pro bought" mark on the phone and the date Google Play or the App Store last confirmed it, no name, account or payment details. It stays so you don't lose what you paid for. Uninstall the app to remove it too; "Restore purchase" brings Pro back from Google Play or the App Store.
- The 14-day Pro preview dates (when it started and the latest date the app saw). They hold no personal information and stop the free preview from starting again. Uninstalling removes them.
- Backup files you saved yourself (in Files, a cloud drive or an email). Taskinator never had access to them.
Purchases are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store: manage or request refunds there. Deleting the app does not delete your purchase, so you can restore Pro later with "Restore purchase".
